Community-Based Services & Supports

AUCD urges Congress to take immediate steps toward eliminating the institutional bias in Medicaid and to provide more community- and family-based services and supports to individuals with disabilities so that they may live as independently and productively as possible in their home communities.

These steps should include passage of:

• Community Choice Act (CCA) / Community First Choice Option (CFC)
• Community Living Assistance Services and Supports (CLASS) Act
• Direct Support Professionals Fairness and Security Act
