Kennedy Krieger Institute Awarded $8.5 Million to Study Aging and Dementia in Adults With Down Syndrome
N.I.H. Grant Will Fund Research to Establish Criteria for Determining Alzheimer's Disease, Leading to Early Intervention
Kennedy Krieger Institute in concert with its Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center have been awarded $8.5 Million to study aging and dementia in adults with down syndrome by the NIH Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development: Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Branch. The study will address crucial gaps in knowledge about Alzheimer's disease in adults with Down syndrome.
